MIXX165 Presents: The Second Annual Farm to Table Mixtape Dinner
Join us for a night to remember at MIXX165's second annual Farm to Table Mixtape Dinner on November 11th at 6pm, located at 165 W Sandusky St., Mechanicsburg, Ohio. After last year’s enthusiastic response, we knew we had to make this event an annual tradition. This year, we’re thrilled to feature live music from Honey and Blue, a Columbus-based duo that blends Blues, Pop, and Rock to create a unique sound. Stephanie and Adam will share stories behind their original music while performing covers of tunes that inspire them, adding an extra layer of connection and creativity to the evening.

The Farm to Table Mixtape Dinner Menu
The evening will begin with a Scotch Egg, a soft-boiled egg wrapped in Oakview Farms sausage, hand-breaded, and fried to crispy perfection. The dish is served with a sweet and spicy Sriracha aioli, adding a modern kick to this classic snack. Sourcing the freshest eggs from Purdy Farms ensures this first course sets the tone for an evening celebrating local flavor.
Next, we’ll serve a Mixed Greens Salad, featuring crisp greens from Oaks & Sprouts, sliced Ohio apples, local carrots, and pomegranate seeds, all dressed in a delicate vinaigrette-style sweet brown butter reduction. The combination of tart apples, crunchy carrots, and the richness of brown butter creates a symphony of fall flavors that reflect the season's bounty.
For the third course, enjoy a comforting bowl of Hearty Chicken & Corn Chowder with roasted peppers. This soup is made with locally sourced ingredients, showcasing Ohio’s agricultural diversity. The combination of sweet corn and tender chicken provides warmth and comfort, making it perfect for the autumn season.
The main course will be a Bacon-Wrapped, Roasted Pork Loin served over a creamy butternut squash purée. The savory pork and bacon, sourced from Oakview Farms, are complemented by the sweetness of the squash from Oaks & Sprouts and a garnish of crunchy, seasoned breadcrumbs. This dish exemplifies the rich flavors of Ohio’s farms!
For dessert, we’ll serve a traditional English Grunt, a rustic creation made with homemade biscuit dough, local berries from Folck Family Farm, and pumpkin malt made from Ayars Family Farm’s Pumpkin Ice Cream. The combination of sweet berries and rich pumpkin malt creates the perfect ending to our meal, providing a blend of nostalgia and innovation in every bite. The "Grunt" has a storied history as a simple yet hearty dessert cooked on the stovetop.
